Update time, dearest readers and submitters!
We received a great deal of submissions, which we really appreciated, and it took a bit of time to get through everything, but selections have been made and Mosaic is going into the layout process and emails have been sent/ are in the process of being sent/ will be sent soon. Release date is estimated to happen somewhere from mid to late May (We're crossing our fingers for May 16th). Now all we have to do is plan the party!
Again, to all who submitted, thank you! It's your hard work that keeps Mosaic going.

Update!
Thank you to all who have submitted their work-- the deadline, sadly, has now passed. We've been busily reading through submissions and will begin sending out emails notifications around the middle of March! The projected date of publication for Mosaic this year is May 16th-- so keep your eyes open, cross your fingers, hold your breath and what have you. If you have any questions, remember to send them to mosaicjournal@gmail.com or rhern007@student.ucr.edu or slemo001@student.ucr.edu and we'll try to get back to you in a timely fashion.

Mosaic Submissions
Dear Potential Contributors,
Please note that the Mosaic deadline has been pushed forward to February 8th. We look forward each and every piece submitted and will contact those accepted for publication in mid to late March. If you are submitting multiple pieces (which we allow and encourage, so long as they are carefully considered and proofread and not in too great a quantity, i.e. 20 poems is a bit much, but 5 is fine), please submit each piece separately. That is, if you are submitting five poems, make five separate documents and upload each individually-- it will be easier for the Mosaic team to organize that way. We appreciate your contributions and your patience and look forward to a wonderful publication this year!
Thank you,
-Mosaic

Why, Hello
*Ahem*
My greatest apologies to all of you who have been chomping at the bit to submit, as your humble web editor has had a few medical problems the last week. I am now fully recovered and enjoying my splendiferous health. The system is now cranking at full capacity and ready for your inundation of submissions.
If anyone has any problem because of the delay, feel free to email me. But please be cautious, I bruise easily.

Small Delay!
Dear Submittees,
There's been a minor delay in getting the submission form up and open. You can expect, tentatively, to start submitting your works this coming Friday, November 9th! The deadline, for now, will remain the same-- so make sure to submit early.
Thanks for your patience,
-the Mosaic team.

Thusforthly, we commence.
Dearest Potential Contributors of Both Great and Little Masterpieces Which Could Henceforth Appear in the Mosaic of the Year 2008,
We will begin accepting your works in the genres of fiction and non-fiction, poetry and art, as well as in the many things that fall between these categories. Feel free to submit graphic novel-esque stories, musical compositions, essays, one act plays and interviews. If you are considerably puzzled over which genre to choose for your submission, go ahead and send us an email. We like emails, especially emails that pose their questions in the form of haikus (sidenote: these haikus will not be considered for publication-- unless also submitted via the official submission form). At any rate, we look forward to reading each and every piece we receive, so long as we receive them before the impending deadline, i.e. December 17th! Good luck and Speed Racer.
-Sunshine (and, by association, Rodrigo)
PS: Also, contributing author: kat.
PPS: Long story short: PLEASE SUBMIT BY DECEMBER 17TH!!! (I yelled this. Note the ALLCAPS and ensuing exclamation marks.)
